Based in the 72 seat venue, Bluebell, in George Square.
Duties included:
Duties included:
- Installing and subsequent removal of technical equipment (sound, lighting, AV, stage) in George Square performance spaces — Buttercup, Bluebell, Wee Coo and Udderbelly
- Welcoming visiting companies, assisting with their technical rehearsals, rigging specials and programming where required
- Assisting in daily turnarounds between shows
- Operating shows as required
- Keeping full record of all information pertaining to requirements for shows, including turnaround notes, cue sheets and any other required paperwork
- Ensuring health and safety standards are adhered to by visiting companies and reporting any issues to management
- Working with visually impaired performers
Assisted in the build for the ~400 seat venue, Udderbelly, which included using chain hoists, building the seating rake and screwing in showfloor.
I had the privilege of working alongside the rest of the George Square technicians and formed strong working relationships with them all.
