Royal Conservatoire of Scotland - Escape Room Project
Chandler Studio Theatre — 3rd - 4th December 2025
Project: E.R.I.C. (Escape Room in Chandler) is a collaborative project by production technology and management students. In order to turn the space into a series of rooms as we had planned, we used a combination of flats from previous RCS productions, gauze hard maskers, black tabs and a "butcher curtain" (a white, plastic safety tarp).

The furniture within each of our rooms was largely provided from ReSet Scenery, a company who store set and props from productions in Scotland and hire them out to other companies.

This was an interesting production to work on as we didn't have an audience in the tradition sense of the shows we usually produce, so we had to rethink how to run it in a way that worked with the format we had.
Propping

As an assistant stage manager, I helped our DSM and SM find props for the escape room, mainly a variety of different padlocks/lockboxes.
