"'MT Showcase' presents final year BA Musical Theatre students, alongside MA Musical Directing students in a showcase that highlights the talent of the students through medleys from our 2026 musicals, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street and Amelie, as well as carefully arranged song cycles and duologues. Glasgow

The sound system in the RCS Alexander Gibson Opera Studio was a simple left/right PA with 2 front fills. Between myself and the other sound technician, we managed 22 radio mics and CPC headsets for the performers and various instruments.

London

The showcase travelled down to London's West End where it was performed at the iconic Sondheim Theatre - home to Les Miserables for over 22 years. The sound system was planned in such a way that it was simple enough to "pick up" and transport to London with us.
